I begin with beautiful glass.
The sheet glass I use is rolled out by hand using centuries old techniques.
I am inspired.
…by the beauty around me every day.
I plan, cut, arrange.
I fuse.
The piece goes into the kiln for its first firing.
I slump.
After multiple firings, the piece goes back into the kiln resting on a mold. The heat of the kiln will “slump” the piece to take the shape of the mold. The entire process takes days or longer to complete.
